Solo Shots vs Steriod Sluggers
With the Steriod Sluggers looking for their first win, it looked doubtful with the Solo Shots up 7. But the Steriod Sluggers
never agev up, rallieing to 7-4. The Solo shots then scored 5 runs off 2 Home Runs from Tim Gola and Grant and once again
the Steriod Sluggers came back but tied it this time. 12-12. The next inning Tim Gola striked back and hit another Home Run
to give the Solo Shots the lead by one and Grant Bercari went back to Back with a 2 run shot, and ended winning 15-12. Tim
Gola was responsible for 6 of the runs and hit a whopping 4 Home Runs in this game. Brand Frazier went yard
twice for the Sluggers but it wasn't enough.
Amish Rake Fighters vs Ballbusters
In this week 6 matchup between the Amish Rake Fighters and the Ballbusters, some could describe it as exaustable, arguable,
and exciting. Things started off strong for the Amish Rake Fighters, when a subsitute player, Brandon Frazier hit a 2 run
shot in the bottom of the first. In the top of the Second, A.R.F.'s pitcher Meats, walked the bases aloaded, then another
subsitute player stepped up this time it was Mike Perry, who hit a 2 run single. With the score 2-2, Taylor walked up to the
plate and hit a 2 run shot to retain the lead for the Rake Fighters. Joey Ecklemann finished that inning off with a RBI single.
Down 5-2 and heading into the top of the 6th, the Ballbusters came back and tied it 5-5. This is where it got ugly. With the
score 5-5 and the Rake Fighters up in the bottom of the 7th and only needing 1 run to win, Taylor sepped up to bat with 2
men on and 1 out. Taylor hit a hard ground ball towards the 3rd baseman Kevin O'Conner who through out Taylor, or did he?
The Home Plate ump called him safe and the Field ump called him out, so what to do? So we went on playin as if he were out
because it was the field umps play.In extra inning the Ballbusters score 5 runs and won it, but after a long talke between
the comissionar, Tim Gola, Team Captains Taylor, and Kenny, we decided that it wasn't fair, and to redo the game from that
play. So back at 5-5 and in the botttom of the 7th, Taylor grounded out, so again we go into extra innings, where Joey
Ecklemann hit a walkoff homerun to win it in the bottom of the 8th.
