Well, first of all we would just like to congratulate the Steriod Sluggers who earned their first ever Francise win.
This surely is a thing to remember for a lifetime. This game was questioned all week. Could the Steriod Sluggers beat the
Ballbusters? it was very possible with the Ballbusters best player, Sean Malloy down to one hand, after he injured his right
hand in an accident I would not like to share. Coming into the Game the Sluggers were ready and they went off on the very
first batter, after Fraser hit a triple, and scored on an error. After going up 6-0 the Ballbusters knew they still had gas
in the tank to get back in it, after multiple scores, the lead was down to only 2, 8-6. The sluggers kept it going with
everybody hitting and scored 8 more and up 10, they only need 2 outs to close the game. But the Balbusters scored 1 to give
them hope. When suddenly the lights went off on us, which caught a glimpse of the end of the world. But after a delay of about
30 miniutes, the game was back on, and the Sluggers held on to win it 17-11
Steriod Sluggers win 17-11!
This game could have been the best game so far this season. In an old, old rivalry dating back to the first 2003 season,
these teams met for the first time this season. Rake Fighters which are 1-1 and the Solo Shots which were 2-0, kicked off
a huge meaningful game which could mean alot in the next couple of weeks. The game took off in the second inning when
the Rake Fighters hammered 9 runs on 5 Solo Shot errors. Down 9-1 abd with 1 run away from being 10 run ruled, the Solo Shots
never gave up, and scored 5 back, inlcuding 3 on a Kyle McGonigal Home Run. But when McGonigal left shortly before the 7th
inning, a number of balls were hit to where he would have been, and they scored 2 more in the top of the 7th. This is where
it got exciting. Tim Gola led off with a stand-up triple, and Kevin Malloy hit him in on a long single. Then down 12-7 the
sacks were packed for Kevin Malloy, and he tanked a bomb for a Grand Slam. With the score 12-11 and one out, rookie sub, Billy
Berrios popped up in foul territory to wend the game, Congrats to the Rake Fighters for a good game.
Rake Fighters win 12-11!
