Steriod Sluggers vs Solo Shots
After a long anticipated offseason, these two teams kicked off the 2008 season. The top two teams from last year's regular
season went in complete oppisite directions after this game. After giving up 3 runs in the top of the first inning, the Solo
Shots came back to score on Joe Polkowitz's solo shot. That one run was the only noe fo the day for the Solo Shots as the Steriod Sluggers went on to score the next 10
runs, to win it in 5 innings. "We should have known in pre-game that Polkowitz was going to struggle because he was complete
that his shoulder was sore." said Tim Gola. The Steriod Sluggers looked unbeatable while the Solo Shots struggled
Steriod Sluggers win 13-1
Ballbusters vs Welcome to Amish Country......
The re-match of last years championship looked to be a promising game, but the Ballbusters had other ideas. Frusterated
with last years championship loss, the Ballbusters held nothing back against the excuse making Rake Fighters. If the Rake
Fighters scored as many runs as they made mistakes, they would have won easily. Kenny Ecklemann starred for his team, as he
went 4-6, with 2 singles, a double, a triple and 2 RBI's. The Ballbusters look toward the red hot Sterod Sluggers in week
2, which looks liek a great game.
Ballbusters win 13-4.
Diablos at Young Gunz
This short-time rivarly was ended quick, as the Diablos scored 8 runs in the 1st inning. The Diablos had there best win
in years on Opening Night, actually looknig liek a real team forthe first tiem in a while. The Young Gunz however seem to
be picknig up right where they left off with players missing and often yelling at each other. As the Young Gunz look to travel
down their normal path, the Diablos look to go for the B.S.L. Trophy.
Diablos win 13-3
